WHY REQUEST A FREE CONSULTATION?

There are several reasons to get a consultation. It’s not all about obtaining a price. You are able to see our products in person (shown in our mobile showroom!), receive advice on how best to lay out your garage, and come up with the systems to best suit your needs. In addition, all homes are different and sometimes specific solutions are not compatible due to floor condition, stud spacing, or joist direction. We back all of our estimates and do not conduct any open ended agreements. We leave you with that written estimate at the time of the appointment. Some choose to move forward at that time and others call us back later. We are happy with both outcomes.

DO YOU OFFER 0% FINANCING?

Yes. We have several 0% and traditional financing options available for those who qualify. Your design consultant can review our current plans with you and help select the best one for your budget. Our financing is subject to change on a monthly basis based upon availability.

CAN I BE PRE-APPROVED FOR FINANCING?

Absolutely. You can go through this direct link to obtain pre-approval. We will receive a notification upon completion. If you have already received a quote and wanting to finance, please contact your design consultant directly.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN EPOXY AND POLYASPARTIC?

No garage floor product is the same, but one easy to spot difference is the material of the product itself.

Epoxy is the most common material you’ll find in a garage floor coating. It is very popular due to its low cost, long working time (does not require a professional to install), and fair bonding strength. However, epoxy is not as durable as other options, can peel with hot car tires, and will yellow over time. In order for these types of floors to look great for a long time, they will require being repaired and/or recoated.

Polyaspartic coatings are among the best you can get in your garage due to their durability being several times higher than epoxy. Polyaspartic coatings are also 100% UV stable, meaning they will never yellow with exposure to sunlight or indoor lighting. These coatings have a rapid cure time that requires professional installation and have virtually no maintenance in a residential environment.

Several companies you’ll find are using a hybrid approach and layer a polyurea or polyaspartic on top of an epoxy base. This adds durability to the floor since the top coat is a much more durable material. However, installations will be longer (and you cannot install epoxy in the winter months), the overall floor will not as durable, and are subject to yellowing. The top coat will not protect the epoxy from UV exposure.

WOW My Garage only uses a high grade polyaspartic on our flooring installations for both the base and top coat after seeing the performance of epoxy floors after just one year in service. We offered epoxy flooring in the past so we know first hand the experiences someone is likely to receive choosing epoxy as a soltion.

CAN LIFEBOND BE INSTALLED IN ANY WEATHER?

The Lifebond Floor System can be installed all year (even in the winter). The only hindrance to your floor coating installation is the introduction of rain or high moisture. The concrete needs to be dry in order to properly bond a floor coating. While we put a covered device against the house, sometimes wind can blow rain water into the garage, preventing us from continuing our installation. This is generally a challenge for garages that face the wind or are requesting we coat the apron of the garage (the part of the concrete that sits outside the garage door). When these issues arise, we work with you to come back in a timely fashion (based upon scheduling availability) to continue.

WHAT ARE THE SPECIFICATIONS OF LIFEBOND?

Our Lifebond Floor System utilizes a 80% solids industrial polyaspartic material that is commonly used in commercial and industrial applications. Both the base coat and top coat use this same material. Our flake comes from the #1 best producer of polymer flakes that are highly resistant to fading over a long period of time. We believe this combination is the best for residential garages and will last much longer than you think it will under normal use.

HOW TO CLEAN MY COATED GARAGE FLOOR?

Our Lifebond Floor System will continue to look like the day of installation when maintenance is properly completed. While this maintenance isn’t tough, these tips will help preserve the floor’s glossy finish for years to come.

Sweep Regularly:
Sweep the floor either with a broom or microfiber mop regularly. By removing dust and other dirt, you’ll keep premature abrasion from diminishing the floor’s finish over time.

Spot Cleaning:
Anytime a liquid is spilled on your floor, immediately wipe it up with a paper towel or microfiber cloth. By cleaning up liquid spills quickly, you will help prevent any etching of your floor’s finish as well as make cleanup as easy as possible. For more tough stains, such as rust, you may use a bit of scrubbing with hot water.

Heavy Cleaning:
For substantial cleaning of a filthy coated floor, sweep any dirt and debris first and then mop the affected area. When mopping, be sure to use a soft cloth or microfiber with boiling water and clear ammonia. 4-5 ounces of clear ammonia is all that is needed. Rinse often.
